Oregon Coast Anniversary Shoot

Since I am only now blogging, I have SO many blogs that are to come…but I wanted to start out with the LAST shoot of 2022 which was incredibly special and an ADVENTURE to get to, (to say the least).

My last shoot of 2021 was an elopement in Oregon for my cousin Daniel and his beautiful wife, Victoria. (Make sure you come back to see that special day too…don’t worry. I’m gonna BLOG it too.) We spent last Christmas with the two of them after they were married in their new home. Between the beauty of the wedding and the snow storm before we left, it was a great time. When Daniel asked me if I wanted to have another white Christmas..how could I say no?

What lead to that week was one of the most insane adventures I’ve yet to be apart of…My family and I were a part of the Southwest craziness and missed our connecting flight. Our luggage was sent ahead and we didn’t have any of our Christmas presents…or ANY of our winter clothes. (Pretty sure it took my sanity too). After a 14 hour drive, a 4 hour phone call and all out loss of said sanity….I finally was able to get back on track.

When we were finally able to settle in, Daniel and Victoria took us to see the Oregon Coast. It was cold, rainy, windy and so incredibly beautiful. From standing on the coastal shore to climbing to the top of Mt. Piskah in the POURING rain, we caught images that brought the drama. We traveled to Devil’s punchbowl where we saw huge waves that created a vortex of foamy wash, ate incredibly fresh seafood in the nearby town and EXPERIENCED the wetness of Oregon. On the last day of the year, we headed up to the snow and breathed the most crispy cold air. We traveled through the snow and grabbed a few more photos that were as much fun as they were freezing cold.

I’m so grateful for my family and the ability to photograph such beautiful surroundings. Looking for your elopement photographer in 2023? You’re already here…shoot me an inquiry!
