I was BLESSED with the opportunity to photograph Carly and Jared’s incredible Big Sur elopement.

This was truly one of my all time favorites for the books starting with an easy flight into Monterey from Long Beach and a 2 hour drive from Monterey through Carmel into Sur. I had never been and was blown away at the beauty all around me. Once I arrived at the Big Sur lodge, I was under a canopy of thick trees and moist, dense air. There was zero cell service, no tv in my room and I was completely cut off from technology. I have to say…It was pretty fantastic.

What started as a very organized day, quickly unraveled and became a day of what-ifs all up in the air. Despite ALL the trouble…Carly and Jared remained calm and patient. A wedding day is the last thing you want to stress about and instead of doing that, they enjoyed themselves and did so surrounded by their closest family and friends. We had a wonderful day amongst the trees and the purple sand on the beach. If you are considering an elopement or a wedding in Sur…definitely do yourself a favor and do your research because it’s WORTH it.
